dk 9.0.0 - No pictures in Timeline & Dates

Hi

I have roundabout 6 TB photos on my NAS. dk 9.0.0 runs on Mac Tahoe 26.4.1.

If I open the timline dk seems to work, but nothing shows up. After a 
while the connection to the NAS is broken.

Opening the date view I see two boxes in the tree. No photos at all.

All other tools in the right siderbar are working as expected.

Is there a way to force digikam to show the photos?
