What venue is best for keeping up with and learning about DigiKam?

I've been a DigiKam User for about 15 years. I started using it when my digital photo library was getting too large to handle. I found that I use only about 15% or so of its capacity, and I've been 95% happy with the results. For most of that time, I have relied on digikam-users email list to keep up with the new enhancements and to learn new work flows as well as get my questions answered.

I note that email has become passé for many users, who turn to other venues for information and inspiration.

Looking at Facebook yields an uncounted list of references, and the main digikam.org has nothing new to add other than announcements of updated versions. There are a lot of followers, though not much contribution from any of them, including me.

Looking at flickr, I noted that the most recent posts were eight years ago, with many as far back as 15 years. Seems to me that there is nothing here worth considering.

The most recent post on pixls.us seems to be from 2017. Again, seems to me that there is nothing here worth considering.

digikam support points to the r/reddit area. I note that when I search for specific issues, I often find a Reddit post, and sometimes it is useful. I'm not convinced yet that Reddit is authoritative.

So my quandry is: what is the preferred source of information and exchange of ideas. What do many or most users use?
