"scan for new items" always scans the entire collection

In this case, if AppImage usage fixes the problem, it's a native packaging
issue. Which one exactly, it's difficult to say.

The Mysql support (in case this kind of database is used), becomes more and
more difficult to maintain.
Mysql and Mariadb become more and more different in time. MariaDB replace
Mysql every now, so I highly recommend to switch to
Mariadb if you create a database with a recent version. Older Mysql
databases must be safe to use but don't upgrade to a recent version.

Note that AppImage and MacOS bundle uses mariadb in the background to build
the QtSql module used to communicate with the database.
The Windows bundle still builds with the VCPKG Mysql dependencies. I must
migrate that to MariaDB.
