Import of Lightroom Keywords?

I found and fixed the problem!
I had updated the Metadata settings (Advanced, Tags) to support hierarchical tags according to
Setup of digiKam for Windows compatibility
https://userbase.kde.org/Digikam/Tutorials/Setup_of_digiKam_for_Windows_compatibility
When I created the new item for Xmp.lr.hierarchicalSubject,
I accidentally misspelled that.
After I corrected the misspelling and re-read the metadata,
the LR Keywords imported as Tags. WooHoo!

Subject: Import of Lightroom Keywords?
Date: Sunday, September 07, 2025 5:07 PM
Hi,
I am a DK newbie, trying to figure out how to migrate from Lightroom into DK.
I am running 8.7.0 in Windows 11.
I have consulted these web pages
Setup of digiKam for Windows compatibility
https://userbase.kde.org/Digikam/Tutorials/Setup_of_digiKam_for_Windows_compatibility
Migrating from Lightroom 6 to Digicam 7
https://ocroquette.wordpress.com/migrating-from-lightroom-6-to-digikam-7/
The Lightroom metadata is exported to the XMP files.
DK imported the data pretty well, except the Keywords
did not come in quite as expected.
If I select an image and use Item -> Edit Metadata,
all the metadata is there, and the Keywords are listed in the Keywords section.
However, that Keywords section seems to be useless.
Search seems to work on the Tags, and offers no option to search for Keywords.
If I Search for one of the keywords, nothing is found.
The DK documentation seems to consider the terms Tag and Keyword as interchangeable,
but they apparently are quite different.
I was expecting the Lightroom Keywords to be imported as Tags,
but they were not. The imported images have no Tags.
How do I import the Lightroom Keywords in way that they are useful for searching?
Thanks,
-- Glenn
