Import from iPhoto albums

I have "inherited" a MacBook and CDs with iPhoto albums, with apparently 
metadata in separate database folders (iPhotoMain, iPhotoAux, 
Library.data and Library.iPhoto) I can't read from windows.

I'm not familiar with apple tools.

Is there a way, on my PC or on the macbook to transfer the photos to my 
digiKam folder without losing the metadata ?
