Digikam unable to find files on ubuntu

Hi,

For technical reasons, the AppImage is not compiled with the wayland
plugin yet. We tried in the past and it made a big puzzle very
unstable.

The AppImage uses the legacy X11 plugin. Wayland provides an
abstraction layer compatible with X11 for the transition stage.
Install the Xorg Wayland feature on your system and it must work as
expected.

Do not install Qt6 plugins on your system to try to run the AppImage,
it will not be compatible and not used. The AppImage runs in a
chrooted box with all the necessary components inside.
