If you want to batch border images and more, look at the Batch Queue
Manager. Import items to process to a queue, assign border tool and
other adjustments to the queue, adjust queue settings if necessary,
and run it.

Note: the digiKam native border is a simple one. If you want test a
huge collection of filter, try the G'MIC-Qt plugin which provides fun
tool to apply in Image editor and batch Queue Manager (you need a more
version than 7.5.0, try the last stable 8.6.0)
