Overlapping regions

I don’t have any Unconfirmed faces but I have 4,434 Unknowns. How do I delete them? I tried selecting all of them and using “Unmark Tag As Face” but that didn’t seem to do anything.

Hi Tom,
I’ll take another look to see what I can do about the overlapping face regions. Try deleting all of the Unconfirmed and Unknown face regions and running “Scan all images” again. This will not clear any confirmed overlapping regions. Once the face is confirmed we don’t modify the region or tag.

Cheers,
Mike

Also, whenever I confirm a face, or change the name of a suggestion, another face scan starts spontaneously. I’m assuming this is some kind of retraining run, correct?
Yes, this can be controlled by turning on/off the background face recognition scan in Settings->Miscellaneous->Behavior.

Cheers,
Mike

I still have many instances of suggested face tags nested inside pre-existing face tags, both with the same name associated with them. This is after numerous face tag scans. What would really be nice is, if the former situation transpires, the face engine would copy the name from the pre-existing tag to the suggestion and delete the pre-existing tag. Would that cause problems?
