How to provide feedback on auto-tag results

I am very new at this, so these are just my observations so far:
You can run auto-tag again and overwrite what was written (this is a setting). You might want to do this if you want to try different settings or if there is a big improvement in the feature. (If I understand correctly, 8.6 introduced a big improvement to auto-tag and facial recognition.)
The auto tags are segregated under the parent tag “auto.” They are completely independent from the tags you created manually. I assume this means you can simply delete the auto tags and they will disappear from your images. (I have not tried this.)
You are wise to try this on a test album. I tested the feature on a small album, then jumped in with a collection of 20,000 images. I had to abort after 24 hours because I needed my battery to last through a 3-hour zoom. I should have played around with it a bit more before jumping in with both feet.
Good luck.
