"save" not asked after color profile change

Hello,

when, in editor view, I change something on an image and then click 
"next (image in the album)" digikam correctly asks me, if I want to save 
the changes.

But it does *not* ask, when I assign another color profile to an image. 
It just goes to the next image and, of course, forgets the change...

To make it a little worse, in this case the "save"-button is greyed out, 
and I have to go over the dialog "save as" to then overwrite the image 
with the new profile.

Is this a bug or a feature I don't understand?
Should I file it as a wish or a bug?
