Thanks to all for your input on this.

I notice a couple of you refer to "download and delete",  I don't see
this option.  I just see "Download New", "Download Selected" and
"Download All".  Am I missing something?

DigiKam 8.5.0 on Linux Mint 21.3 with Sony A7 connected via USB-C
