That is just the kind of things they want to discuss in the bug tracker, and 
not here. There's just too much noise on the mailing list to discuss bugs and 
whishes in depth with the developers. (if you have a vague idea for an 
improvement and want to discuss it with *users* before discussing details with 
the developers, the mailing list may be the better avenue, though).

Keep in mind that there are often several months between a reported wish and 
it appearing in Digikam. The bug tracker is designed to handle that, and limit 
the audience for each issue to those concerned/interested.

What is the "Replace" dialog? And how do you reach it?
