Auto rename into date directories on import

I currently use rapid-photo-downloader to import photos and save them 
into auto-generated date folders for digiKam. I thought I'd have a look 
at dK import options since it seems to be possible to do the same thing

However I can't get the rename dialogue when I try to import from a 
local filesystem. If I select Import / Add Folders or Add Images and 
work through the dialogue there is no rename option on import.  The only 
way to get the File Renaming Options is by selecting Camera or USB 
drive. The documentation also suggests that there is an Import from 
Remote Computer option but I can't find that.

I'm running version 8.5.0 on Debian Bookworm
