Dear:

I use to sight my pics after an excursion and useĀ  the "slide show"
feature of digiKam, which is really fine!!

Though, I'd like to suggest improvements:

1.) It is nearly *impossible to stop slide show instantaneously*.

--> Therefore, maybe it would be advantageous to use some type of
"cache", loading some ten pics or so in advance.

It should be possible to stop a slide show "hosted" in a "virtual cache"
*immediately*, or?

2.) if a slight show is stopped, it would be *extremely useful* to offer
the ability to *enlarge a pics* to study them in detail.

--> Even *basic processing* (treatment) would be beneficial before even
leaving the slide show!

This could help to further process or dump a pic.

3.) Within a slight show, I'd like to *mark single or several pics* for
further processing after slide show ends.

--> Maybe setting a mark as (existing) rating, selection or colour!?

Overall, I believe it is a matter of workflow, efficient sighting and
selection workflow.

Please think of some thousend pics per day!

How to deal with that?

Axel
