Automatic metadata reading from xmp files

Hi everybody !

Simple question : is there a way to have metadata automatically read 
from xmp files ?

I have recently changed from a local hard drive to a NAS and Digikam 
doesn't show the metadata (rating, keywords, description,…).

I have to use the "Item ‣ Reread Metadata from Image" menu option to 
have them visible.

Maybe the "Album ‣Reread Metadata From Images" option in the Album menu 
would do it in one step ?
