Download of extra files always fails

When I start Digikam (current 8.7 but has been th same fir a while) I
always get the pop-up asking if I want to download 'Model Files' but
when I try and download them I always get this error:-

    An error occurred during the download.

    File: deep-image-orientation-angle-detection.onnx

    Connection closed

    You can try again or continue the download at the next start.

So, how can I sort this out?
