Scanning for Faces

When accessed through the People menu, one can set up a few criteria in 
the Settings submenu.  However, if one selects an album in the Album 
menu, there is no option to select settings - mainly the Work Flow, Face 
Detection Settings of the Face Recognition Settings.

Is there any what to set these up so they are applied universally when 
one used the Scan for Faces option in other than the People Menu?
