Direct Access to Photos in Apple (iPhone) Photo App

I'm a new user of DigiKam so please forgive me if this question has been asked previously.



Does DigiKam have any ability to directly read photos taken/saved to the Apple Photo App rather than me having to export them manually into DigiKam?
