digiKam 8.5 under macOS (Apple Silicon) - problem displaying HEIC of iPhone 16 pro

Dear all,

many thanks for the first native release of digiKam supporting the Apple own CPUs natively and extending the support of newer HEIC formats.

Unfortunately there still seems to be an issue with displaying (and manipulating) HEIC photos of an iPhone 16 Pro. Please find enclosed an attachments (screenshot showing digiKams preview right and Apple preview left). As you can see, macOS preview is showing the correct photo, whereas digiKam preview seems to clip high tone contrasts. Surprisingly the icon preview is not showing that wired color tones.

Is this a known problem? 
- If so, do you have an y hints to make it work. 
- Otherwise, should I open a problem ticket?

Nevertheless, many thanks for this milestone release (for the mac).
