Undo stack pop-up in 8.4.0

I've written about this before for 8.3.0, but on my machine (Windows 11) in
8.4.0 when I select undo in the image editor I do not get the popup that
shows the undo stack. However, I believe in 8.3.0 Giles could not duplicate
it (in other words, it works on his machine, and he sees the undo stack).
I'm wondering if a setting changed, or I'm using a different version (I have
the Qt6 version rather than Qt5). I'd really like to see the undo stack!
