Problem with special (accented) charcacters

Hi Sergio,
I had (well, I actually still have) the same issue, and it turns out
it's related somehow to KDE (or more specifically QT) applications
running as appimages, since I could replicate the same behavior in other
apps. I even submitted a bug back in the day
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406583
I want to see if that's still relevant when I upgrade to Kubuntu 24.04
(running 20.04 at the moment).
