Photos with missing tags

Dear Digikam users/developers,

I had created 100s of tags for photos and objects. Due to the migration of
the data to a different location, I no longer can see the tags anymore on
the photos. I have opened the SQLite database in a database browser and I
can see the tags, photos, albums and relations between tags and photos. The
paths appear correct too, but I cannot see the tags on the photos.

Any suggestions and workaround would be appreciated.
