Thanks Benoit,  I have found a "good enough" way and it's really good to know that there really wasn't a good built-in method.

 But this needs to be a feature; many people face this migration problem - I spoke to another yesterday.

"oldest" might not always be the right answer, but sometimes it's the best one.   And just an obvious entry in the similarities list that seems conspicuous by its absence.
