Thumbnail suddenly turned green

Test 1.jpg is not a valid JPG image, it cannot be opened with any program 
here. Where does it come from, which program created it? It contains a header 
of about 69 bytes before the actual JPG image. If I remove these additional 
bytes, digiKam and all other programs can load it without problems. I have 
never seen anything like it.
