additional infos for images

Hi Mario,

In digiKam there is no limitation with tags you can create. They can be hierarchical or as a list if that suits your needs. You can also choose if you want these Tags only in the Database or also saved inside image files (or in sidecars files for more special file formats).

Is there a way to save additional information such as item number, order number, year of manufacture, etc. in digikam for the images?
It would be enough if this information was just in the database.

I know this option in the ThumbsPlus software, which is unfortunately a bit outdated.
