what is stored in the images?

Hello,

Whatever I do I never could simply migrate digikam from some version of 
linux to an other.

For the basic digikam, it's just a matter of letting my computer index 
photos during the night, as I store the meta data in the images.

But I spent last month a very long time building a face recognition 
base. Is this data stored in the images?

else I will share why I can't load digikam database :-)
