How do I stop digikam changing the order of my tags?

When I search for a tag, digikam works as expected and displays just that
tag and its parents/children in the right sidebar. If I then delete the
search information, so that digikam displays the whole tag tree, the tags
are no longer in alphabetical order. The parent of the tag that I searched
for is at the top of the tree.
Is there an option to stop digikam moving the searched tag to the top of
the tree?
If an item in the tree has been expanded it is annoying to have to scroll
up the whole tree.
