[digiKam-users] Mac OS (Ventura?) Server DB Issue

I am getting a
Database connection test was not successful.
Error was: Can't connect to MySQL server on '192.168.50.22' (60) QMYSQL: Unable to connect

It is my DB running on a Synology - I have two windows machines working fine
I can also connect to the Database using the mySQL commands from a terminal
It was working and I have started all over from scratch trying to troubleshoot
Running a 2017 Intel Mac Ventura 13.2 with Digikam 7.9
I have tried another DB server and new DB and a fresh install of OSX - really at a loss on why Mac seems to have an issue connecting 
Seems to me to be a problem on the Mac OS side but can't figure it out.    Have tried wireless and wired.
