[digiKam-users] posting again on storage location not available

I am hoping that my post from a week ago just got lost, so am trying again:

Recently when I have been trying to see a full image by double clicking 
on the thumbnail I am getting this:

"The storage location of this image is currently not available"

I am on:

  windows 11

Digikam 7.8.0

Files are on a synology and I have mariadb running on that. Interstingly 
as I click though digikam, some files will load on the double click but 
most will not.

I can through windows explorer go to the file on the attached drive and 
load it outside digikam.

My wife is on a Mac running Digikam 7.7 connected to the same NAS, and 
has the exact same behaviour.
