[digiKam-users] What do the colours mean on GPS markers?

Looking at the GPS positions on the map using markers instead of thumbnails
I noticed some of the markers have different colours - green, cyan, yellow,
orange - and maybe more.

What do the colours mean? I could not find any mention in the Digikam docs.
