Digikam not working properly (on Fedora 38 GNOME)

OK, here's an update:
I actually changed from Fedora, eventually settling on MX Linux.
Following Giles' advice, I'm now using the AppImage, and everything's
working fine. The AppImageLauncher mentioned on the website wasn't
working properly, so I just learnt how to manually create a launcher.
