digikam crashes after upgrade from digikam 7.1.0 to digikam 7.9.0

It crashes when accessing an empty QList, please create a gdb backtrace:

gdb digikam
"r" + Enter (run)
crash occurs...
"bt" + Enter (show backtrace)
