[digiKam-users] preview pane closes spontaneously

Hi,
I just did a quick test.
Opening thumbnails from the album view, the previews stay open for 60 seconds plus with no activity on my part. If I edit the tags, the preview still stays open, no issues.
If I open the 'dates' view, the preview will stay open for 60 seconds or more, as long as I don't edit the tags. If I do edit the tags, 30 seconds later the preview will close.
This also explains another issue I've been having, which I didn't realize was related. If I select a range in the 'date' view (i.e., if I pick June 2022, then highlight four days in June), the thumbnails narrow to those dates. The preview works fine, but again, if I edit the tags, 30 seconds later the selection in the date pane is removed. That is, if I selected June 10-14, that selection is cleared and I am presented with all of June again.
Hopefully both issues can be addressed with the same fix!
Best,
Tyler
