[digiKam-users] digiKam 7.6 appimage do not start

I am having the same problem you are having and emailed the list about
it on Friday, but note that this is NOT the same problem as shown in the
message you quoted. The library and symbol that are failing to load for
you and me are not the same as the ones shown in that message, and
therefore the workaround shown in the bug does not work.
