[digiKam-users] From Windows Comments field to digiKam Captions

Hi,

Using digiKam 7.6.0 and trying to get the Windows "Comments" field of a JPG
read as the digiKam "Captions" field.  Using a test photo not previously
manipulated by digiKam and having a simple phrase in the "Comments" field
as seen by Windows, in digiKam Metadata the only place where I can see this
phrase is in under EXIF "XPComment" of the ExifTool tab.  It is also
visible as "Windows Comment" under the EXIF tab.  So I went to
Settings->Configure digiKam->Metadata->Advanced and under "Caption" I tried
adding a new read namespace.  I tried Exif.XPComment and
Exif.Image.XPComment but my Windows "Comments" never appears in digiKam
"Captions".  I tried disabling all other read namespaces but to no avail.
No matter what I do, any "Comments" entered in Windows is not read by
digiKam.  And yes I have re-read the photo metadata (I changed the Windows
"Comments" phrase and I see it in the ExifTool XPComment field from within
digiKam).

Any suggestions?  Thanks!
