[digiKam-users] recognise .hif files as heif format

Hello,

I just tried digikam 7.7.0 on macOS and I want to add .HIF files to be
loaded by the HEIF loader plugin. Any hints on how to go about this?

I added HIF to the mimetype settings, but that doesn't help. Renaming a
.hif file to .heif makes them show (however my camera sticks to the ancient
8.3 filename pattern, hence uses .hif and I prefer not to having to rename
my files)

I dug around the source code a bit, changing
core/dplugins/dimg/heif/dimgheifplugin.cpp typeMimes() to also return HIF
in the string looks like a solution. Is that what's needed, or is there
another way?

p.s.: It's great that you offer HEIF support, thanks! The commercial
competition does not, and seemingly isn't even working on it...
