[digiKam-users] Need help connecting to an existing SQL DB

I got the same question.

Is there a possibility to use the same folders for Linux and Windows
systems? Any symlink which could be accepted?

What would be the manual workaround for the DB?

If I enter a Network share from Windows I get,
"networkshareid:?mountpath=Z:"

Thanks!

Holy crap! Thank you so much for explaining that.

It makes so much sense now.

I will go back and put this answer on all those other forums I've asked
this on.

Thanks again Maik, you are my new hero for the day 😊

Different OS systems, as long as the mountpath of the images collection
is

identical, is easily possible. However, if the mount path is e.g. "/mnt/

pictures" on one computer and "C:\pictures" or "\\SERVER\pictures [1]"
on the

other, it is currently not possible without manual changes to an entry
in the

DB.
