[digiKam-users] Reverse Geocoding - Save in Metadata Fields?

Hello, with reverse geocoding, the location information is saved as a
hierarchical tag. Unfortunately, hierarchical tags are not standard and are
only displayed as flat tags for users with other applications.

With IPTC or XMP there are extra metadata fields that can be read by most
applications. Why are these fields not being used or have I missed
something?
