[digiKam-users] Digikam timestamp failing

Hi everyone. I have been working on scanning thousands of family photo.
Digikam has been an awesome tool for organizing the photos and the key for
the project. To make the photos accessable to my family, I have been
uploading them to Google Photos. Google used the modified date to order the
photos. This includes photos from 1905 to present that have successfully
uploaded to Google.

A couple weeks ago I started receiving a timestamp update error on Digikam
when trying to update the photo dates. First I thought it was a permission
setting off but everything else updates correctly besides the timestamp.
Then I thought it was the database, so I tried creating a new database with
the same error on the new database. Then tried fresh install of Digikam
without any luck. This weekend, I restored my PC back to factory thinking
something with the OS could have corrupted but it still has the same issue.

I've spend the last couple days trying to troubleshoot and discovered that
it work correct when trying to update any time after 1970. Dates prior to
1970 cause the tool to fail. Any suggestions on what could be causing this
or how to fix it? It previously worked perfectly fine to edit over 1000
photo's modified and created dates prior to 1970.

Thanks for any help,
David
