Hi Remco,

What would be the best way to correct the path or device identifier so that I can access the tags in the database? I am using Windows 10

Thanks in advance.

I'm using Windows 10, if that helps?

The tags are still in the database, the path or device identifier may have changed after replugging the proper disk. But I don't know how to correct that (for one, it depends on the operating system used)

XMP sidecars would have helped, in that you can then reread the metadata from the sidecars. But then you will end up with superfluous information in your database (not dangerous, just taking up space)

That's a completely different problem: there are several places tags etc. can be stored (even within the XMP metadata), if Piwigo uses a location that digikam can't understand (or vice versa), you'll have to use some tricks.
