[digiKam-users] When is metadata written back to files?

Thanks for your reply,

Interesting, I do have Lazy Sync disabled. However, I am noticing that only
Face Tags are not written back to the file immediately. I enabled the
options for "Captions and Title" and "Rating" and those values are written
back immediately (except for Face Tags) when Rating and Title are added.
If I select the file and click on "Write Metadata to File" from the Items
menu, it does write back the Face Tags to the file, seems that the
operation is not "kicking in" on simple edits. Closing and re-opening
Digikam does not work either.

I opened bug 439404 - Face Tags are not being immediately written back to
the file with lazy synchronization is disabled
