[digiKam-users] Insufficient privileges

Hi Digikam users ~


Upon trying to open Digikam, I receive an error message stating,

“You have insufficient privileges on the database.
Following privileges are not assigned to you:
CREATE TABLE
Check your privileges on the database and restart digiKam.”

I am using MacOS Big Sur (I just recently updated and never had this error message prior to the update) and using SQLite as my database.  From what I’ve been able to read, there is no way to give permissions to SQLite at the database level.

Please help.  When I open Digikam, only the error message appears and I am unable to access Settings or other configuration pages.  I suspect I will need to resolve this using commands in the terminal.
