[digiKam-users] How to get wider range of thumbnail sizes

This option requires a restart of digiKam. Then you can pull the slider up to
512 pixels. Also note that you have to recreate the thumbnails, because they
were previously only saved with 256 pixels, now with 512 pixels. If you are
using a 4K screen, activate the HiDPI settings in the digiKam settings under
Miscellaneous and System. Then with a scal factor 2x from the desktop even
thumbnails with 1024 pixels are saved in the database in order to get sharp
thumbs.
