I Already have Folders for each year. I like the name of the month instead of the number.

I have a lot albuns here, but if there's no other solution, that's what I will have to do.

Yeah, I use YYYY-MM too. Another beauty of this naming structure is that it can be automated via a script or via import tools like digikam import or RPD.

Wouldn't it be more simple to use YYYY-MM?

2019-04 - Birthday of Somebody
2018-12 - Christmas

That way, sorting folders alphabetically, also sorts them chronologically.
It will save you a lot of trouble in the long run.
