to be clear, the only way this concern Digikam is to find a way to reset 
the orientation flag easily. It's not that easy by CLI. This seems to 
work (on the same line, and in the image folder):

 > exiv2 -M "set Exif.Thumbnail.Orientation 1"  -M "set 
Exif.Image.Orientation 1" image-name.jpg
