[digiKam-users] Digikam 5.9.0 OSX Import by Nikon D700 PTP/Card Reader not recognised

Hi,

Even if the port to Qt5 simplify the implementation and remove 80% of KDE
dependencies, it's still 20% of KF5 frameworks, used with digiKam and this
include Solid which is used to manage devices connection and more (USB card
reader for ex).

Another point is your Nikon camera : this device is managed by Gphoto2.
It's recognized, but not suitable. I can reproduce the dysfunction with DK
6.0.0 under my Macbook pro with a Sony PTP device (using also Gphoto2
driver).

So, for this last point, it can be a bug in Gphoto2 or a code to adjust in
DK for MacOS in this case (there is a GPhoto2 interface in DK).

Note : the plugins simplification will be introduced in 6.0.0, not in 5.x
