Re-read metadata from a sidecar for mp4

I also noticed that if there is a star rating specified in the xmp sidecar digiKam does show it. But it ignores the tags (keywords)...

Hello
I have noticed that some tags for my video files (mp4) disappeared from database.I do see xmp sidecars though and if I open them in Kate I am seeing my tags there. 

I tried selecting a video "Menu - Item - Reread Metadata from Image" but it does not bring my tags back.
I am wondering if there is a way to bring the tags from sidecars back to database.
digiKam set to read/write to/from sidecars for read-only image only.
