Metadata not written to pictures with previous database

Dear all,

I started using Digikam on a previous version of Windows, where I loved it.
I used it to tag and rate hundreds of pictures with ease.

However, once I reinstalled Windows, I found out the metadata was not
written to the pictures (I guess "lazy synchronization" was enabled). How
do I get it back? I have access to previous database backups of my digikam
(digikam4.db recognition.db and thumbnails-digikam.db)

I have reinstalled Digikam already and have tagged some other pictures
already, so it would be ideal to not lose those tags either.
