DigiKam 5.8: AVCHD (.mts) video thumbnails missing

Hi there,

I work with DigiKam 5.8 on on KDE neon LTS 5.8 (Plasma 5.8.8, Qt Version 
5.7.1, KDE Frameworks Version 5.42.0).

In Dolphin the thumbnails (ffmegthumbs) of my AVCHD clips (.mts suffix) 
are shown and and the file association of .mts is directed to VLC player 
which works flawless with this type of video clips.

However, Digikam 5.8 does not show thumbnails of these clips nor could I 
play it from the preview window. Below is the output of the terminal. 
Perhaps some could direct me on how to fix this issues.
