In digiKam-6.0.0 this is now included as progress bar in the status bar. An
cancel function of the operations is now also possible. Of course, many file
operations go very fast, so progress bar does not even appear. But he will be
seen on many files or file operations on very slow disks. The AppImage for
testing has Gilles uploaded today.
Note: digiKam-6.0.0 requires an additional DB for the similarity search. If
you use MySQL, please create it. Check the setting, it is also possible to use
these tables within an existing DB.
